Anton Otto Fischer "A Careless Word… A Needless Sinking" Original WWII Framed Poster

This poster from 1942 is a well preserved example of the Office of War Information's War Propaganda. The image depicts a group of men rowing away from the sinking ship in flames in the background. Fischer created an influential and dramatic image with bold colors that reflects the potential impact of careless talk that could have been intercepted by the enemy and used against our troops. The poster reads "A careless word… A needless Sinking". The bottom of the poster is marked "OWI Poster No. 24. Additional copies may be obtained upon request from the Division of Public Inquiries.
