Sights/Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. A Leupold VARI-X III 3.5-10x scope is mounted to the receiver via Leupold rings. The duplex reticle is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is one piece checkered AAA walnut with a capped semi-pistol grip, cheekpiece, raised comb, black wood forend tip, and a synthetic basket weave Pachmayr Decelerator buttpad. The buttpad has no notable wear other than some debris in the recesses. The wood also has no notable wear other than a couple faint rub marks. There is a sling swivel stud on the forend and another on the belly of the stock. LOP measures 13.5" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with faint fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. There are only faint handling marks on the barrel. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The mountain scene on the floorplate looks fantastic. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Weatherby Mark V Wyoming Bronze Commemorative was the third and final version of Weatherby’s Wyoming commemorative series celebrating the company’s relocation from California to Sheridan, Wyoming. The original Gold and Silver commemoratives were introduced in 2019, while the Bronze edition followed in 2020 as a more accessible but still highly limited collector model. Several articles indicate that only 50 Bronze rifles were produced, consisting of 25 rifles in .257 Weatherby Magnum and 25 in 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum. This example, serial number WY002125, is one of the 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum rifles and features the handsome AAA-grade walnut furniture and Wyoming-themed decoration characteristic of the series. The 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum is among Weatherby’s highest-velocity sporting cartridges and was introduced as a factory chambering in the Mark V during the mid-2010s.

The bore is bright with sharp rifling and only faint fouling, rating 9.5/10. The rifle is equipped with a Leupold VARI-X III 3.5-10x scope with a clear duplex reticle, which rates in Very Good condition. The action functions correctly. With its extremely limited production, desirable 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum chambering, high-grade walnut furniture, excellent overall condition, original box, and mounted Leupold optic, this is a particularly attractive example of Weatherby’s Sheridan-era commemorative production.
