Markings: The top of the chamber and receiver are both marked with Winchester WP proofs. The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A.”, “-MODEL 63 .22 LONG RIFLE / SUPER SPEED AND SUPER-X”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “104780A”. The bottom metal is marked “104780”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a u-notch elevator sight dovetailed to the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece smooth walnut with a flat bottom semi-pistol grip, straight comb, capped forend, and checkered steel buttplate. There is scattered handling wear with nicks and scratches along with some intermittent finish loss. There is a loading hole in the right side of the buttstock and a plunger tube in the rear of the buttstock. This stock rates in about Very Good overall condition as refinished.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 80% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows operational wear, thinning on the leading edges, mottled patina, intermittent oxidation. There are minor nicks all along the sides of the barrel. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
