Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA / WINCHESTER - MODEL 62A - .22 S. L. OR L.R. / TRADE MARK”. The serial number “395240” is stamped on the bottom of the receiver and the bottom tang.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable u-notch leaf with ramp dovetailed into the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle has a ribbed walnut forend and a smooth walnut buttstock with a black hard rubber Winchester buttplate. The wood shows scattered minor handling and operational wear. There is light finish wear from handling but no major cracks or chips. The LOP measures 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in about very good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear and minor operational wear on the action. The receiver has light edge wear and scattered small scratches. The screw heads are sharp and serviceable. The markings are clear and sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about very good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
