Sights/Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade dovetailed into a base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight dovetail has a blank inserted. An adjustable Lyman aperture is screwed into the left side of the receiver. The receiver also has a pair of filled taps for mounting an optic. No optic is included.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The refinished furniture is one piece wood with a fluted straight comb, checkered semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, sling swivels at the front and rear, and a checkered metal buttplate. The letters "RB" are pressed into the bottom of the semi pistol grip. The buttplate shows moderate finish and handling wear. The furniture shows only some minor pressure dings and drag lines. The LOP measures 13.75" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light erosion towards the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 85% of its original metal finish. The finish shows light edge wear and some minor scratches. The floorplate/trigger guard is mostly in the white. There is also some stock resin present on the left side of the barrel and receiver from when the stock was refinished. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Introduced in 1925, the Model 54 was Winchester's first successful modern bolt-action sporting rifle and laid the foundation for the iconic Model 70.
