Sights/Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade pinned into a base fixed to the top of the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable elevation square-notch semi-buckhorn sight dovetailed into the top of the barrel.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is two piece wood with a checkered straight wrist grip, straight comb, checkered schnabel forend, and a smooth metal buttplate. The buttplate has no wear. The furniture has no notable blemishes. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.25" from the face of the trigger to the butt. The furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Excellent condition.

Manufactured by Miroku for Winchester, this special order rifle features a case colored receiver with high grade wood and exemplifies the exceptional craftsmanship for which Miroku is renowned. The Model 1895, designed by John M. Browning, was the first successful lever-action rifle engineered specifically for high-pressure smokeless powder cartridges and remains one of the most significant lever-action designs ever produced.
Chambered in .405 Winchester with a 24 inch barrel, this rifle pays tribute to one of the most famous hunting rifles of the early 20th century. The .405 Winchester became closely associated with President Theodore Roosevelt, who famously referred to it as his "Big Medicine" for African game. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition with strong rifling. The action functions correctly.
