This lot consists of two original Winchester two-piece boxes of .30-40 Krag "Full Patch" smokeless cartridges, each box containing 20 rounds for a total of 40 cartridges. These cartridges were produced during the early smokeless powder era and were intended for use in U.S. service rifles such as the Krag-Jorgensen and Winchester Model 1895. The .30-40 Krag was the first smokeless powder cartridge adopted by the U.S. military in the 1890s, marking a significant transition from black powder to modern ammunition technology.

The boxes are classic early Winchester packaging with red labels retaining strong legibility with period-correct typography and graphics. Both boxes appear unopened, with intact structure and original closures.
