Winchester has always had a way with advertisements of striking the perfect combination of sentimentality and impending adventure without coming across as saccharine. This Vintage 1950s Winchester Model 77 .22 Rifle, Model 70 Super Grade Rifle, Model 12 Repeating Shotgun “I’m Proud Mine’s A Winchester” Tri-Fold Die-Cut Cardboard Advertising Poster is in Good condition, with the top portion of the middle that used to extend beyond the tops of the sides having been cut away long ago, such that the top edge is now flush across, and thereby removing most of the “I’m proud mine’s” portion of their slogan, complete tears and well executed tape repairs where the side panels join the middle portion, with a few layers of tape running vertically down the entire length of the left and right back, some scattered scuffing and wrinkling to the top and bottom middle edges, some scattered whitish soiling and surface flaking around the front, some scattered “browning” and dark soiling at back, and with moderate scattered age wear evident. Most interestingly, it’s a tri-fold die-cut cardboard stand-up advertising poster, measures 26” x 24”, and bears a well executed depiction of a couple of hunting buddies either about to depart for or just returning from some trigger time in the great outdoors, with “I’m proud mine’s a Winchester!” at the upper middle front, “Model 70 Super Grade” at the lower middle left front, and “WINCHESTER” in large red italicized lettering at the lower middle front, “MODEL 77 / Self-Loading / Rim Fire Rifle / Clip Magazine” and “Ask to see / the complete / Winchester / 22 line” centered by the short lived Model 77 rimfire rifle at the right front, and “MODEL 12 / Repeating / Shotgun” and “Everybody / shoots better / with a / Winchester” centered by the classic Model 12 pump action scattergun at the left front. It dates to ca. 1955-1962, as those were the only years Winchester actually produced the Model 77, and is a fine example of a very rare, original Vintage 1950s Winchester Model 77 .22 Rifle, Model 70 Super Grade Rifle, Model 12 Repeating Shotgun “I’m Proud Mine’s A Winchester” Tri-Fold Die-Cut Cardboard Advertising Poster.
