Up for auction is a highly collectible, authentic 1932 advertising calendar issued by the Hercules Powder Company. This stunning piece of vintage Americana features the famous sporting illustration titled "Stowaways" by renowned American artist Walter Beach Humphrey. The vibrant lithograph depicts a young boy and his two hunting dogs hiding out in the back of an automobile while a hunter peers inside. This calendar retains its original full 13" x 30" vertical dimensions and has not been trimmed down like so many surviving examples from this era.

Condition Details: Top Hardware: PRESENT. The original metal top binding band and hanging ring are fully intact, which is a major plus for collectors.

Calendar Pad: PARTIAL. The calendar leaves for January through July have been cleanly removed by the original owner. The pad begins with the month of August 1932 fully visible. The subsequent sheets for September through December remain intact underneath.

Paper Condition: The lithograph retains excellent, rich color. There is some minor, natural paper rolling/curling in the top 1/4 of the piece from historical storage, but no major tears or stains affecting the primary artwork.
