Good Condition. Some sharpening and scattered nicking to the blade edge. Some scratching to the blade. Features a 5 5/8" drop point saw back bright blade, thick brass guard with lashing holes and wrist lanyard, tubular hollow steel handle, and classic black rubber "crutch tip" pommel, which is stamped "20 / 1". Lightly etched at the lower left side of the blade with its maker, "RANDALL MADE / SOLINGEN" and "S", the latter for stainless, and is also stamped "STAINLESS" along the ricasso. Carries the name "M.V. MASCIOLA" factory etched along the lower right side of the blade. Captain M.V. Masciola served in the US Air Force in the mid-1960s. Complete with the scarce, original mid-1960s riveted Johnson Rough Back brown leather Randall sheath with metal "glove" snap closures on the handle retention strap and whet stone pocket (no sharpening stone included). Being a Solingen crutch tip Model 18 Attack-Survival with riveted Johnson Rough Back Randall sheath dates this set to ca. 1965-1968.
