Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed at the muzzle. The rear sight is a u-notch integral to the top latch.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece hard rubber panels with checkering. The grips show very light handling wear. A small piece has chipped of the butt of the right panel. Overall, the grips rate in Good condition.

Type of Finish: Nickeled with a blued trigger guard

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is grey and the rifling is worn. There is light oxidation and pitting throughout the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 6/10.

Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 80% of its original metal finish. The finish shows a light turn line, edge wear, scratches, and flaking of the nickel. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Good condition.

Mechanics: The action DOES NOT function correctly. The cylinder is slightly out of time and will bind if the trigger is pulled too fast. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This U.S. Revolver Co. Automatic Top Break Small Frame was manufactured in 1912 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm. Produced by Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works under its U.S. Revolver Co. trade name, these revolvers were marketed this way to discreetly get rid of parts from their older Safety Automatics. These revolvers provided an affordable and dependable means of personal protection during the early 20th century.

Chambered in .32 S&W Long with a 3 inch barrel, this single-action/double-action top-break revolver features simultaneous extraction when the action is opened, allowing for faster reloading than many contemporary revolvers. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 6 out of 10, showing moderate wear with visible rifling remaining. The action does not function correctly. The cylinder is slightly out of time and will bind if the trigger is pulled too quickly.

The grips rate in Good condition with handling wear appropriate for their age.
