This lot consists of an original, factory-sealed two-piece box of .35 Winchester Smokeless centerfire cartridges manufactured by United States Cartridge Co. of Lowell, Massachusetts. The .35 Winchester cartridge was introduced in the early 20th century for use in Winchester’s Model 1895 lever-action rifle, a rifle closely associated with big-game hunting and even military contracts abroad. Ammunition from U.S. Cartridge Co. represents an important period competitor to Winchester and UMC, and surviving sealed examples are increasingly scarce.

The box is clearly labeled with period typography and branding intact. The original factory seal label remains present and unbroken, indicating the cartridges have not been disturbed since packaging. The box is further protected by a later non-factory plastic wrap, which has helped preserve the paper surfaces and edges. Condition of the box is notably strong for its age, with only light toning, minor edge wear, and minor handling marks visible.

As the box remains sealed, the cartridges inside are presumed complete and in very good condition relative to age, with original soft point projectiles typical of early smokeless hunting loads.
