Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade integral to a raised base on the barrel. The rear sight is an S&W micrometer-click adjustable square-notch sight pinned to the topstrap. The front ramp shows minor rub from holster storage but remains crisp and functional.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered walnut magna stocks with S&W medallions. The checkering is well-defined with only faint handling marks along the smooth borders. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Fine-Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains over 95% of its metal finish. There is light holster rub and finish thinning near the muzzle and on the leading edges of the frame. The cylinder has light burn marks on the face consistent with gentle use. The screw heads are sharp, and all markings are crisp. Overall, this revolver rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double and single action trigger pulls are smooth, and the lock-up is solid. The cylinder rotates and times properly. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with the revolver is a vintage “Bianchi #5BHL Kit Gun” leather holster, brown in color, marked clearly on the reverse. The holster is in Fine condition with light wear from storage.

The front sight ramp shows only minor rub from reholstering, and the action remains as tight and smooth as you’d expect from a vintage S&W.
