Sights/Optics: The front sight is a hooded post sight. The rear sight is a Sig Sauer Rotary Diopter Sight attached to the picatinny rail on the upper receiver.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set on this rifle includes a ribbed polymer clamshell handguard, a Sig pistol grip with storage, and a Sig folding adjustable stock with rubber butt pad. The furniture set shows only faint handling and operational marks. The butt pad shows no wear and the stock functions correctly. Overall the furniture set is in Fine Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with stubborn fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The most notable marks are the series of marks near the ejection port. The rest of the rifle shows only minor handling. The screw heads sharp and the pins un-marred. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 16 inch barrel, this rifle delivers the proven performance of the SG 550 operating system in a practical civilian sporting configuration. The long-stroke piston design is well regarded for its reliability under adverse conditions and reduced fouling in the receiver area. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.

The furniture set rates in Fine Plus condition with minimal visible handling wear. This rifle retains approximately 98% of its original metal finish, presenting a very clean appearance. One 30 round Magpul PMAG is included. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition and stands as an excellent example of the SIG 556 Patrol platform.
