Markings: The tang is marked "B6710".The top of the barrel is marked "Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874" and "CALIBRE 45 / 21/10". The left side of the receiver is marked "SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO. BIG TIMBER, MONTANA.".

Barrel Length: 30" Heavy Octagon Barrel. The rifle weighs 10lbs 14oz.

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a Globe front sight with a simple post insert and a semi buckhorn barrel sight rear sight marked 3-8. This rifle also includes a tang mounted Soule Style micrometer rear sight with a Long Range 4.25" Staff with 3" of adjustment and a multi aperture medium sized eye disc.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is a two piece smooth "Fancy" walnut. The buttstock is a full pistol grip with checkered curved lower tang, straight comb with cheek piece, and a black checkered butt plate. The handguard features a pewter tip. The LOP measures 14.25″ from the front trigger to the back of the butt plate. The wood shows scattered minor lines and small compressions. The stock has a notable compression on the left side of the face of the grip, and several small marks from the eye disc. The front of the pommel has several small compressions. There are no cracks or chips. The butt plate has sharp checkering and shows some very minor rub wear around the edges. Overall the furniture rates in about Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: The barrel is blued and the receiver, lever, tang and hammer are color case hardened.

Finish Originality: All Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. In this writer's opinion the bore rates 9.75/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is a small mark from the lever on the lower tang. The top of the receiver shows some fine lines from being loaded and unloaded. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: This rifle has double set triggers, which function correctly. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
