Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white dotted blade dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch sight with a white square under the notch, dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a two-piece checkered polymer grip set. The checkering is sharp with faint peak wear. The grips fit tightly to the frame, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: 6x 9rd magazines in Very Good-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some light fouling present. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.75/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with light thinning of the finish on the top of the barrel and on the chamber from operation. There are a few minor scratches. Otherwise, the Nitron finish is intact. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the de-cocker. We did not fire this pistol, but we did perform a mechanic's check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This 1995 German-manufactured SIG Sauer P220 represents a transitional, increasingly collectible example of the platform during the period when SIG was refining its classic DA/SA service pistol architecture prior to the full shift toward higher-capacity double-stack 9mm duty designs. Chambered in 9mm, this variant preserves the original P220’s slim, single-stack ergonomics paired with a locked-breech, short-recoil operating system and frame-mounted decocker, delivering the characteristic balance of precision machining, controllable recoil impulse, and duty-grade reliability associated with early German SIG production. The configuration remains mechanically traditional but highly refined, with dovetailed sights, Nitron finish, and the clean, utilitarian lines that defined mid-1990s SIG service pistols.

Condition is Excellent, retaining approximately 97% of its original finish with light operational wear visible primarily at the barrel hood and chamber area, along with minor handling marks and faint surface thinning consistent with normal cycling. The bore is outstanding at 9.75/10 with bright finish and sharp rifling, showing only light fouling and no erosion. Mechanics are fully functional, including a properly operating decocker and consistent DA/SA trigger cycle. Importantly, this example is enhanced by its inclusion of six 9-round magazines in Very Good to Excellent condition and its factory box with matching label, significantly strengthening its completeness as a collector package. Overall, this is a strong German P220 example in a less common 9mm configuration, appealing to both SIG Sauer collectors and end users seeking a classic, pre-modernized European duty pistol with excellent preservation and full factory accessories.
