Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood with a semi-pistol grip, straight comb, unmarked initial plate in the belly, and a serrated synthetic buttplate. The furniture shows scattered pressure dings, drag lines, and scratches. There is a crack on the right side of the forend where it meets the receiver. The LOP measures 14.25" and 13.25" from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttplate. The plate has fairly light handling wear. Drop at comb is approximately 1.5", drop at heel 2.5". Overall, the furniture is in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright with faint streaking. There is no erosion in the bores. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate 9.5 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 55% of its metal finish. The barrel finish is beginning to turn to patina and has some light oxidation spots. The receiver case color has faded, but is still lightly visible. The action shows standard operational wear. The screw heads are lightly tooled and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this shotgun is in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock to the receiver with no play. The safety engages automatically when the barrel set is opened. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Victor Sarasqueta Sterlingworth's Hammerless Sidelock was manufactured in 1960 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm. Imported by Stoeger and manufactured in Spain. These Spanish-made sidelocks combined traditional double-gun styling with the skilled craftsmanship of the Basque gunmaking region, offering hunters and sportsmen an attractive and dependable field shotgun.
Chambered for 12 Gauge with 28 inch barrels, this hammerless sidelock side-by-side is well suited for upland birds, waterfowl, and general sporting use.
