Sights/Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade integral to a base screwed into the receiver. The rear sight is an adjustable square notch with a serrated face, dovetailed into the receiver. There is a picatinny rail mounted atop the receiver.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece checkered black rubber Ruger grips. The grips show minimal wear. There are no rips or tears. The grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is minimal wear present. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This pistol presents in excellent overall condition, retaining approximately 99% of its original finish. The exterior surfaces are clean and evenly finished with minimal handling evidence, and the lightweight configuration gives the pistol a modern, well balanced profile. The polymer 22/45 grip frame replicates the familiar 1911 style grip angle, contributing to comfortable handling and intuitive point of aim.

Mechanically, the pistol is excellent. The bore rates 10 out of 10 with bright steel and sharp rifling. The action functions correctly, and the Mark IV’s push button takedown system operates as intended, offering quick and simple disassembly compared to earlier Ruger rimfire designs. Cycling is smooth and consistent, reflecting the platform's reputation for reliability and ease of use.
