Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a u-notch elevator sight screwed to the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece hardwood with semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and Remington serrated hard rubber buttplate. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are a few minor compressions and handling marks. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows portions of the receiver and barrel having turned to a mottled patina. There is light thinning on the leading edges and on the muzzle. There is some minor patina on the bolt handle. The screw heads are sharp to tool marked and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Despite its decades of service, the action remains strong and functional.
