Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a rounded blade fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grips are two-piece checkered walnut with deluxe "string-of-pearl" borders. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Satin Nickel

Finish Originality: Original. The slide, frame and barrel are serial-matching.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, just a little copper fouling, likely from proof/test firing. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9+/10.

Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, the pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: The pistol comes in a black leatherette luggage case with a total of two 13-round magazines, cleaning rod, manual, and keys for the case on an FN-branded lanyard.

Our Assessment: Made to celebrate the centenary (or "Centenaire" in French) of Fabrique Nationale, only 100 of these pistols were produced in 1989. Approximately half were sold in America with the remainder sold in Europe. The pistols have a unique pattern of acid-etched scroll engraving with hand-cut borders, this example signed by Lucien Ernst. The walnut grips have deluxe string-of-pearl borders and the pistol is finished in a beautiful satin nickel. This example appears to have spent more time in the included luggage case than out and comes with its manual and brace of magazines. Among the most rare of the Hi Power pistols, this gorgeous gun will take a prized place in any collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
