Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the top of the slide. The rear sight is a tall U-notch leaf dovetailed to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are serrated black plastic panels, the left panel has an "FB" Radom logo. The panels are cut away in certain spots to view moving parts. The cut-aways are highlighted red. The panels show scattered little nicks and scratches along the serrations. The serrations are well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Fine condition.

Overall Condition: This cutaway handgun retains about 92% of its metal finish. There are scattered minor nicks and scratches. There is some light wear in the backstrap. There are some scattered losses in the red paint of the cuts. The pins are clean and the screw heads are lightly tool marked. The markings are clear. Overall, this cutaway handgun rates in Very Good-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This is a cutaway pistol intended for educational purposes, it is not safe to fire. As with all used items, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: As stated by Cameron White in The Complete Book of Tokarev Pistols, “The Polish military produced a cutaway or sectioned version of the wz. 1933 that was used for training purposes. By studying cutaway models, troops and armorers alike were able to see the various parts of the pistol that were normally not visible after the pistol was assembled. It is not known how many pistols were selected to be made into cutaways...Wz. 1933 cutaways are especially interesting to collectors because of the visual appeal created by the large amount of milling cuts made to each pistol. Each pistol had about fifty different cuts exposing the various parts… A tremendous amount of machine time was put into every pistol, making each one a real treasure.” This example is in Very Good-plus condition, showing signs of storage and its intended use. Most observed examples are marked with the year of manufacture, this very low serial number was likely produced ca. 1950 when the cutaways were introduced. This would be a golden opportunity to take home something that isn’t commonly seen, and would be a great addition to a Tokarev, Cold War, or Polish handgun collection.
