Action Type: Over Under Top Break Shotgun with removable trigger group with single selective trigger, flat springs, barrel selector located behind the trigger, and non automatic resetting safety.

Choke: The barrels are marked for full over full. However they have been threaded for Briley thin wall chokes. Currently installed with Improved Cylinder(IC) over IC. Also includes flush chokes: 2x FULL, 1x Light Full, 1x Improved Modified, 1x Light Modified, 2x Modified, 1x IC( 3x IC total), 2x Skeet, and extended 1x IM, 1x LM, and 1x Skeet. 15 total chokes.

Sights: The front sight is a Bradley style white bead affixed to the front of the tapered checkered rib.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a checkered high grade walnut set with a thin slab side forend and a semi pistol grip stock with fluted straight comb and a Kick Off rubber butt pad. The length of pull is 15", the drop at comb is 1 3/8ths" and the drop at heel is 1 7/8ths". There is a right handed cast(off) with an out toe. The shotgun weighs 8lbs. The wood shows some surface level lines, minor compressions, small scratches and small nicks. The leading edge of the grip shows some small nicks. The left top edge of the forend shows a scratch. The wood at the rear edge of the upper tang shows some open grain forming. There are no chips or cracks. The butt pad is soft and pliable showing some minor rub wear. Overall the wood is in Fine condition.

Type of Finish: Blued with gold toned trigger.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bores are mirror bright with no pitting or erosion. The bores show some minor plastic fouling and minor visible lines. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 90% of its finish. The edges of the muzzles, rib, trigger guard, trigger and receiver show finish loss. Both barrels show finish loss from the forend that is mostly concealed when assembled. The upper tang shows rub wear from the safety. The inside of the action shows some minor rub wear from use. The tang lever has been replaced and includes the original one. The markings are clear and the action is smooth. Overall this shotgun is in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Perazzi MX8 Sporting made in 1999 represents one of the most respected competition shotguns ever built.
