Choke: Original choke markings indicate Improved Cylinder over Cylinder. The barrels have been threaded for Briley Series 3 thinwall chokes. Currently installed is Improved Modified over Improved Cylinder (0.018"/0.009"). Also included are Full, Light Full, Skeet, and Cylinder Bore (0.024", 0.020", 0.005", 0.000").

Sights / Optics: There is a white bead in a base at the front of the rib. The top of the rib is finely checkered for glare reduction.

Weight: 7 lb., 6.3 oz.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered select walnut with pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber Kick-Eez buttpad. The stocks have only a few scattered minor marks. The checkering is strong. There are no chips or cracks. The drop at the comb is approximately 1 1/2″, drop at heel 2″. The stock is cast off slightly. The LOP measures 14 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad, 14″ to the back of the wood. Overall, the stocks are in Fine-plus condition.

Type of Finish: Blue

Finish Originality: Original, numbers match.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores. There is a little faint oxidation in the chambers and some chokes show stubborn fouling. In this writer's opinion, the bores rate 9+/10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at a few edges. There are a few scattered minor marks. The action shows light operational wear. The lever sits slightly right of center when the action is closed. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with the Briley chokes described above and a choke wrench in a choke case.

Our Assessment: Perazzi sounds like a high end sports car, and in the gun world it is. They have long been a staple of just about any kind of shotgun sport you can name, famous for their craftsmanship, beauty and durability. As such, they command a high price, with some buyers going all the way to Italy to be measured in person so that their gun can be specially and exactly fit to them. That said, like a high-end sports car, it can be much more economical to buy used. This one is their MX20 Sporting with 31 1/2" barrels. Unlike some sub-gauge guns, the MX20 is built on a scaled-down frame, specifically for 20 gauge shells. Briley chokes have been installed so it can accept the chokes of your choice and it comes with a set ranging from Full to Cylinder Bore. This will be a versatile gun ready to take on just about anything you could ask of a 20 gauge over-under. With its beautiful stocks and legendary Perazzi quality, this is a gun that will turn some heads, drop some birds, and dust some clays. Please see our photos and good luck!
