Up for auction is a highly desirable, 100% authentic pre-World War I United States Army recruiting poster titled "Men Wanted for the Army." Beautifully illustrated by renowned military artist Michael P. Whelan circa 1909–1910, this vibrant color lithograph features a detailed depiction of a standing U.S. Infantryman with rifle alongside a mounted Cavalry Bugler sounding a call against a Western mountain backdrop.

This specific example is a rare survivor, remaining entirely intact with its original, factory-issued top and bottom wooden banding strips and top metal hanging loop. It comes safely flat-stored, professionally shrink-wrapped to a rigid foam core board backing for immediate presentation and preservation.
