Sights/Optics: The front sight is a white beaded blade dovetailed into a serrated base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable folding u-notch. There is a Leupold 4X RF Special scope mounted to the grooved receiver. The duplex reticle is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is one piece wood with a straight comb, checkered semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, and a checkered metal buttplate. The buttlate shows only light edge wear. The furniture shows only some minor pressure dings. The LOP measures 13.5" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mosly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is faint erosion at the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its original metal finish. The finish shows light oxidation spots on the receiver and beneath the scope. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Produced by Kimber of Oregon during the company's highly regarded Clackamas, Oregon production period, the Model 82 earned an outstanding reputation for its exceptional machining, premium walnut stocks, and remarkable out-of-the-box accuracy. Pre-suffix rifles are especially desirable among Kimber collectors, as they represent the company's earliest commercial production before later serial number suffixes and subsequent corporate changes.
