Sights/Optics: The rifle is equipped with a 1.5 power MSAR optic with a circle post reticle, back up iron sights on the top of the tube and exposed turret adjustments. The reticle is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is OD green polymer with a serrated rubber buttpad. The only notable blemishes are a couple very minor surface scuffs. The LOP measures 15" from the front of the trigger to the back of the fixed buttstock. There are four QD slings cups installed. One on the bottom of the stock, one in the pistol grip, one just in front of the optic, and the other on the left side of the stock. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original finish. There are no notable blemishes present. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine Plus to Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This MSAR STG-556 Gen. 3 is a semi-automatic bullpup rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO. Produced by Microtech Small Arms Research, the STG-556 is an American-made rifle inspired by the iconic Steyr AUG design. The Gen. 3 models incorporated a number of refinements over earlier production, while retaining the compact bullpup configuration that provides a full-length barrel in an exceptionally short overall package.

Chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 16 inch barrel, this rifle offers the handling advantages of the bullpup layout without sacrificing ballistic performance. The design is well suited for recreational shooting, competition, and defensive applications, combining compact dimensions with the proven performance of the 5.56mm NATO cartridge. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition with strong rifling. The action functions correctly.

The furniture rates in Fine Plus condition with minimal visible handling wear. This rifle retains approximately 99% of its original finish, presenting in very high condition.
