This lot includes two vintage Mermaid Brand "David Harum" 20lb test Hard Braided Casting Silk  fishing line spools housed in the original blue cardboard box labeled "Made in U.S.A., No. 323, 100 Yards." The spool lids feature a classic mermaid graphic, a desirable early advertising motif associated with turn of the century angling goods. One paper label shows a puncture through the center, while the other remains largely intact with even age toning.
