Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated base screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a u/v-notch elevator sight with white diamond aim reference, dovetailed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled. The left side of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece smooth wood with capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb, checkered Marlin hard rubber buttplate, banded forend, and sling stud in the belly. There is a sling stud banded to the magtube. The LOP measures 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There is a repair through the wrist where the stock has been repaired back together. The right side of the wrist has a visible line where the stock had broken away from tang to tang. The repair is well done. There is another crack in the wrist at the receiver. There are scattered mild handling marks and compressions. The stocks rate in about Fair condition as repaired.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 75% of its metal finish. There is some thinning on the leading edges and at the muzzle. There are scratches scattered about the receiver and barrel. There is some operation wear on the action. There is intermittent oxidation and finish loss. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp to tool marked. Overall this rifle rates in about Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a half cock safety position. The lever safety is present. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
