Two of the best names in Old West gun leather were S.D. Myres of El Paso, Texas, and H.H. Heiser of Denver, Colorado. This Lot of 5 Vintage 1940s Colt SAA Gun Belts are in Very Good Condition, with some scattered drying, scratching, darkening, and age wear evident. Most interestingly, they feature anywhere from 20 to 40 sewn leather shell loops, and measure anywhere from 36 1/2” to 49” long overall (they all are about 1 3/4” to 2” wide). The caliber breakdowns are as follows: one S.D. Myres belt for .357, one S.D. Myres belt and one H.H. Heiser belt for .38, and one S.D. Myres belt and one H.H. Heiser belt for .44 WCF/.45 LC. The Myres belts are stamped around the front with their maker, the famous “S.D. MYRES / EL PASO, TEX.”, the Heiser belts are marked around the front with their maker, the equally famous “HEISER DENVER”, and they all carry fully functional metal front buckle closures. A fine example of a rare, original Lot of 5 Vintage 1940s Colt SAA Gun Belts.
