Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is scope grooved.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece checkered walnut with capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and checkered steel butt plate. The LOP measures 13 5/8" from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt plate. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. There is no handling wear. The butt plate shows no notable marks or wear. Overall the stock is in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light operational wear. The finish is strong and complete throughout. There is minor wear on the edges of the rear of the receiver. There are a few faint marks on the barrel and receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition
Mechanics: The action functions properly. The trigger is very light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its factory box, total of one magazine, and a set of Kimber scope rings.
Our Assessment: This is a beautiful Model 82 chambered in .22 LR. Kimber originally produced the Model 82 rimfire which was so successful that demand exploded and the model 84 was introduced with centerfire calibers. Using the new Model 84 actions, Kimber specialized in making heavier-weight, small-caliber center-fires for benchrest shooting and varmint hunting. After the Model 84 was a success, the later large caliber Model 89 was born and they were soon overwhelmed with production demand and went through financial turmoil. They later reformed but did so in Yonkers, New York after a brief name change to Kimber of America while still located in Clackamas, Oregon, with different backers and business interests. Collectors hold the Clackamas Oregon Kimbers in high regard, after picking it up you will see why. It should be hitting the bullseye for years to come with proper care and will be a great addition to a collection of top-tier bolt action rifles.
