Very Good Condition. Some light scattered surface chipping to the bright plated finish of the blade, clamshell guard, cross guard, and pommel. A small gap between the handle and ferrule, most prominent at the right side. Beautiful "forest and game" hunting scenes etched at each side of the 16" drop point blade. Stamped at the ricasso with the classic pre-1921 seated back to back squirrels and "C.E." maker's logo of the famous Carl Eickhorn. Gorgeous genuine stag handle with incredible natural stippling. Complete with the original black leather sheath with moderate loosening to the gilt plated throat piece, and fitted with a 1943 dated German leather frog. A gap remains between the throat and guard, and the dagger remains difficult to draw from the sheath. Matching assembly number "5" on all numbered parts.
