Markings:  The left side of the slide is marked with the Glock logo, “17”, “AUSTRIA”, and “9×19”. The right side of the slide is marked “DD003” with a Vienna NPv proof and Eagle. The right side of the chamber is marked “DD003” with an Eagle, NPv Proof, and “ZTT” date code. The underside of the frame on a metal inlay is the serial number “DD003US”. The right side of the grip is marked “GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA. / US.Pat.4.539.889” with an NPv and Eagle proof. The left side of the grip has the Glock Logo. 

Barrel Length: 4.49”

Sights/ Optics: 3 Dot Night Sights. The tritium is depleted. 

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The Gen 1 frame features a textured all around grip with flat straps. There is mild handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. There are a few scratches and scuffs.  The texture is mostly crisp but has lost some of its definition. Overall, the grip is in Good condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is fouling in the grooves. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition:  This pistol retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light-mild operation wear. There is thinning on the slide with some light scratches throughout and gradual thinning toward the muzzle consistent with holster wear. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Fine condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: This pistol comes with a Glock Tupperware Box and a total of one 17rd Gen 4 magazine.

Our Assessment: The Glock 17 Gen 1 is the original model that launched Glock's reputation for reliability, simplicity, and innovation in the handgun market.
