Good Condition. Some scratching, finish abrading, and patina around the exterior. Some surface chipping to the decals. Some scuffing around the top edge of the liner. The end of the right chinstrap has torn away. Retains approximately 75% of the original bluish gray finish. Scarce M-35 helmet that was not deemed combat serviceable, and so was "beaded" and reissued early in the war as a Luftwaffe Luftschutz (air defense) double decal helmet. Features the original Luftwaffe eagle decal at the left crown, National Tricolor shield decal at the right crown, 8 "finger" brown leather lappet liner with cotton connecting lace, black leather chinstrap with rounded bales, separate bushing air vents, and rolled edge rim. Stamped with the maker and size "ET62" at the interior left ear, the lot number "1175" at the interior back brim, and the corresponding size on the liner, "55".
