Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. This revolver appears to be unfired. In this writer’s opinion this bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its original finish. The balance of the finish is strong and complete throughout. There is no operational or handling wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in Like New condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Colt Signature Series Texas Paterson is a handsome modern continuation of one of the most important early Colt designs. The Paterson represents Samuel Colt’s first successful revolver system, and the Texas Paterson pattern carries strong historical appeal because of its association with the early Republic of Texas era and Colt’s emergence as a major American arms maker. This example, with its folding trigger, octagon barrel, loading lever, and classic percussion system, offers the look and mechanical character of a highly significant 19th-century Colt. It is embellished with factory engraving and gold bands on the barrel and cylinder.

This revolver presents in Like New condition and appears unfired, with a bright 10/10 bore, excellent grips, sharp markings, and about 99% of its original finish remaining. The included gray Colt box adds nicely to its collector appeal.
