Markings: This revolver is marked, "DAN WESSON ARMS MONSON MASS. U.S.A. / 208423" on the frame and, "DAN WESSON ARMS .357 MAGNUM CTG" on each barrel.

Barrel Length: 8", 6", 4", 2.5".

Sights / Optics: The front sights are serrated ramped squared posts with red, white, and yellow colored inserts. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch sight with a white U outline. The pistol also includes 2 extra red front sights, one yellow front sight and one front sight with no insert. 8 front sights total.

Stock Configuration & Condition: This pistol includes two different grips. The installed grip is the oversized Zebrawood checkered target grip. This grip shows some minor handling with some small scuffs on the bottom of the grip. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this grip is in Excellent condition. The additional grip is a smooth walnut combat grip with finger grooves. This grip shows minor handling with a few small scattered scuffs and some very minor finish loss on the edges from use. There are no chips and no cracks. Overall this grip is in Fine+ condition.

Bore Condition: The four bores are bright with sharp rifling and no visible erosion or pitting. The 6", 4" and 2.5" bores show minor fouling in the grooves. The 8" bore is very clean. In this writer's opinion the 8" bore rates 9.75/10 and the other bores rate 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are the usual very fine lines that are typical in a high polish finish like this. There are also some scattered minor marks and lines on each barrel. There is a thin crisp turn line. The 8" barrel has a notable spot of surface rust through the finish about mid length on the right hand side. The 8" barrel also shows some rub marks on the sides of the rib. Some of the front sights have some small spots of surface rust. The extra yellow front sight shows notable surface rust. The left side of the frame has a few minor scuffs. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are crisp. Overall, this revolver rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is light side to side play on each cylinder while in lock up. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
