Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square-notch integral to the top strap.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece smooth wood with Colt medallions. The grips have a couple minor pressure dings in the left panel. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Fine Plus to Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Blued & nickeled

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its finish. There is a small mark on the loading gate and some faint blemishes on the frame and cylinder. The cylinder has a very faint turn line. There is very little operational wear. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Fine Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Colt Wyoming Diamond Jubilee Frontier Scout was manufactured in 1965 as a commemorative celebrating the 75th anniversary of Wyoming statehood. Produced by Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, the Frontier Scout was introduced as a lightweight rimfire counterpart to the famed Single Action Army, offering the classic Colt profile and handling characteristics in an economical .22 caliber package. Commemorative Frontier Scouts such as the Wyoming Diamond Jubilee edition are especially desirable for their limited-production markings, presentation features, and historical significance.
