Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There are a few spots of mild pitting in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 6/10.

Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 80% of its original metal finish. The finish shows edge wear and some light scratches. The screwheads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Good to Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Colt Third Model Thuer Deringer was manufactured between 1875 and 1912 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm.
