Colt Model Colteer 4-22 .22LR 19.38" Semi Automatic Rifle

Our Assessment: This started with the Colteer single-shot bolt action rifle, an attempt was made to produce the Colteer Lever Action, but the project was never completed, and then the Courier, Colteer and Stagecoach Autoloaders were introduced.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade under a hood. The rear sight is a notch leaf and elevator sight in the rear dovetail. The frame is grooved for a scope

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece smooth walnut. About 95% of the finish is retained with barely any wear whatsoever. The LOP measures 13 1/2" from the front of the trigger to the back of the plastic Colt plate. The stocks rate in about excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The screw heads are a bit worn. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions properly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
