Sights / Optics: The front sight is a short rounded blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a "U" notch dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered walnut with smooth diamonds around the grip screws. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The action shows faint operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching craft-style box, army manual, and wax paper which fits inside of a two-piece blue cardboard Colt box with factory paperwork including manual, and is itself inside of a white cardboard sleeve with serial-matching label. A total of two 7-round magazines are included.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. This is a Colt Model 1911 that was made in 2003 as a tribute to the originals. This pistol looks to have seen more time in its included factory box than out, in Excellent condition. This is a good-looking pistol and an excellent example of a sidearm issued to America's men in uniform which will make a nice addition to a martial small arms or 1911 specific collection.
