Sights / Optics: The front sight is a orange ramp blade pinned to the ventilated rib. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square-notch sight mounted to the top strap.

Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are black rubber Pachmayr wraparound grips with finger grooves and Colt medallions. They show minimal handling wear and rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Bright Stainless

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion or fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its original metal finish. There are no significant signs of wear, with only the faintest handling marks. The gun appears to have been fired no more than at the factory. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent to Like New condition.

Mechanics: The action functions perfectly. The lock-up is tight, the cylinder rotation is smooth, and the trigger pull is crisp in both single and double action. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Colt King Cobra was introduced in the late 1980s as a heavy-duty .357 Magnum revolver built for both law enforcement and sporting use.
