Sights/Optics: The front sight is a post atop a base fixed at the muzzle. The rear sight is a ladder sight which presents a v-notch in the down position. When raised, the ladder presents a v-notch marked 2-8.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, straight wrist grip, banded forend, sling ring mounted at the belly, saddle ring fixed to the left of the wrist, and a smooth metal buttplate. The buttplate shows no notable wear. The furniture shows only a few minor pressure dings and scuffs. The LOP measures 13" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The finish shows no notable blemishes. The screw heads range from unmarred to lightly tooled and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Produced by Armi Sport for Cimarron Firearms, the Spencer 1865 faithfully recreates Christopher Spencer's groundbreaking lever-action design, which became one of the first successful military repeating rifles. Originally chambered for rimfire cartridges, the modern reproduction is adapted for the readily available .45 Colt cartridge, allowing shooters to enjoy the handling and appearance of the classic Spencer with modern centerfire ammunition.
Chambered in .45 Colt with a 20 inch barrel, this lever-action repeating rifle captures the balance and handling that made the original Spencer so highly regarded by Union cavalry and frontiersmen.
