Our Assessment: Browning Citori shotguns are extremely dependable and make for great investments. The Citori was introduced in 1973 as an alternative to the highly successful Superposed model. Choke: Both barrels are threaded and installed with Invector Plus chokes with two alternatives included.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a rear-facing white bead fixed to the rib above the muzzles. There is a smaller white mid-bead fixed to the rib. The top of the rib is textured to help reduce glare.

Weight: 6 lbs, 14.4 oz.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut featuring a semi-pistol grip, an adjustable comb and an Inflex buttpad. There is no notable wear or damage, just some light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 14 1/4" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The drop at the comb is 1 1/4". The drop at the heel is 2". The cast is neutral. The stocks are in excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates a 9 or 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, just light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel lockup is tight with no play to the receiver. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with a serial-matched Browning cardboard box, an instruction manual with factory handouts, alternate choke tubes & tools, alternate trigger faces and comb adjustment accessories.
