Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot integral to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with an orange aiming reference dovetailed to the slide. The top of the slide has a solid rib that is serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black plastic with Walther banner logos at their tops. The grips have even minor handing wear with a few scattered minor marks. The left panel is cracked at the screw hole, extending back to the rear edge. The checkering is well defined. Overall, the grips are in about Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is a little stubborn copper fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is a little minor scuffing and a couple of tiny scratches, mostly on the right slide flat (facing down in the case). The action shows minor operational wear. The screw head is sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Very Good-plus condition and would rate higher but for the cracked grip.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a black plastic Walther case with serial-matching label, manual, serial-matching test target, cleaning rod, and a total of two 6-round magazines, one flush-fit and one with pinky-extension floorplate.
Our Assessment: "PPK" is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kriminal, referring to the Kriminalamt crime investigation office. While the K is often mistakenly assumed to stand for kurz (German for "short"), as the variant has a shorter barrel and frame, Walther used the name "Kriminal" in early advertising brochures and the 1937 GECO German catalog. The Walther PPK is a well designed handgun, this particular variant takes .380 ACP ammunition.
This particular PPK was produced under license by Interarms in 1993. It is the stainless model, offering a strong and corrosion resistant construction. The pistol is in Very Good-plus condition, retaining about 97% original finish, a strong bore and good mechanics. Its condition would rate higher, but the left panel has a crack at the screw hole, as is commonly found on this model.
