Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two white dots, adjustable for windage and elevation in a base dovetailed to the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is integral to the polymer frame with checkered sides and front, serrated black rubber backstrap. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some stubborn copper fouling. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains 98% of its metal finish. The action shows minor operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Introduced as part of Ruger’s SR-series evolution and replacing the earlier P345 platform, the SR45 intended to deliver a modern, striker-fired .45 ACP duty pistol with a slim profile and polymer frame. Chambered in .45 ACP and feeding from 10-round double-stack magazines, the design emphasizes controllability over outright compactness, pairing a full-size grip with a low bore axis to moderate recoil.
The SR45 is widely regarded as a mechanically sound and inherently accurate handgun when properly broken in. Reports across the platform's lifecycle consistently note solid reliability with common FMJ and defensive hollow point ammunition, with early tightness giving way to smoother cycling after use. Ambidextrous controls, and a relatively high grip promote natural pointing and recoil control that is notably mild for a .45 ACP service pistol.
For the collector or end user, a 2013-production SR45 sits in early-mid production of the model, after initial teething issues had largely been addressed but before the platform's broader market transition away from the SR-series. While not a high-demand collector piece in the traditional sense, it remains a capable, value-driven American duty pistol with proven field performance, and this example is in Excellent condition.
