Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated, ramped blade integral to a base screwed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation in a base pinned to the topstrap.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood with silver-on-black Ruger medallions. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains 98% of its metal finish. The action shows light operational wear including an incomplete turn-line on the cylinder. The finish on the hammer and loading gate has a plum hue. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Ruger Single-Six Bisley is a variant of Ruger's popular Single-Six revolver, introduced in the 1980s to combine the accuracy and handling of the Single-Six with the distinctive grip frame and hammer of Colt's Bisley configuration. The Bisley design offers a lower hammer spur and a more vertical grip angle that many shooters find improves control and accuracy, especially in target shooting. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, this revolver provides inexpensive shooting with the timeless feel of a single-action, making it an excellent choice for both collectors and practical shooters.

Produced in 1986, this example remains in Excellent overall condition. It retains about 98 percent of its original blued finish, a great bore and strong mechanics. For collectors, this Bisley Single-Six holds appeal as an early production example of Ruger's Bisley line, complete with its original factory box.
