Sights/Optics: The front sight is orange fiber optic open bar dovetailed to a band around the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable green fiber optic leaf sight also dovetailed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled. Included is a picatinny rail that can be attached to the top of the receiver.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The black synthetic furniture consists of a checkered forend, checkered semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and a checkered Ruger buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.25" from the face of the trigger to the rear of the butt. This furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with some light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are minimal blemishes present. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine+ condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This rifle presents in Excellent overall condition, retaining approximately 99% of its stainless finish. The metal surfaces are clean and evenly preserved with minimal handling evidence, and the commemorative configuration gives the rifle a refined, modern appearance while retaining the familiar 10/22 profile. The compact 16.4" barrel contributes to lively handling and balance, making the rifle comfortable for extended range sessions and general rimfire use.

Mechanically, the rifle is excellent. The bore rates 9.5 out of 10 with bright steel and sharp rifling, indicating light use. The action functions correctly with smooth cycling and the reliable blowback operation that has defined the 10/22 platform for decades. Fit and function are consistent with Ruger's high production standards.

Historically, the 50th Anniversary Edition marked a major milestone for the 10/22, one of the most successful rimfire rifles ever produced. Introduced to celebrate half a century of continuous production, these editions were intended to honor the model's legacy while offering a refined, commemorative presentation.
