Sights/Optics: The pistol is equipped with CZ tru-dot sights. The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp dot that is pinned to the slide and the rear is a square notch base with two tritium lamp dots, dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The tritium still glows brightly.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece checkered synthetic CZ grips. The grips show little to no wear. There are no chips or cracks. This furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with stubborn fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered minor marks. The action shows operational wear. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this pistol rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Our Assessment: This pistol presents in solid overall condition, retaining approximately 96% of its original finish and matching numbered parts. The exterior surfaces are clean and evenly preserved with minimal handling evidence, and the SP-01 Tactical configuration gives the pistol its distinctive duty oriented profile with a full length dust cover and robust slide mass. Overall balance is steady and confidence inspiring, reflecting the model’s service pedigree.

Mechanically, the pistol is excellent. The bore rates 9.5 out of 10 with bright steel and sharp rifling, indicating very light use. The action functions correctly with smooth cycling and consistent double action and single action operation. The Tactical variant replaces the manual safety with a decocker, simplifying the manual of arms while maintaining the proven CZ 75 operating system.

Historically, the SP-01 series represents the modern evolution of the CZ 75 platform, developed for military and law enforcement use with enhanced durability, controllability, and rail integration. The Tactical version in particular has been widely adopted for duty roles due to its decocker configuration and reliability.
