Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the hinge at the muzzle end of the barrel. The rear sight is a square-notch integral to the rear end of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grip-panels are two-piece checkered black plastic with Beretta logos, ".25 / JETFIRE" at the bottom of the left panel and a knight's helm over shield on the right. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings remain clear. Overall, the pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: The pistol comes in a serial-matching hinge-lid Beretta box with a single 8-round magazine and a 9/2/1965 dated carbon copy of a Jefferson Parish Fire Arms Permit for this pistol signed by Sheriff Alwynn J. "Al" Cronvich.

Our Assessment: This Beretta Model 950-B is a single-action tip-up barrel semi-automatic pistol chambered for .25 ACP cartridges. The Model 950 was introduced in 1952 and remained in production until 2003. This is one of the earlier production models that lacks an external safety lever, and it was made in Italy. The pistol is in absolutely Excellent condition, appearing to have spent more time in its box than out. This is somewhat surprising as it comes with a 1965 dated Fire Arms Permit from Jefferson Parish in Louisiana. A veritable time capsule, this is a wonderful find for Beretta collectors, especially those from the Bayou State. Good luck on your bid!
