Antique KEUFFEL AND ESSER Stadimeter U.S. Navy Rangefinder Serial # 32406 In Original Wooden Case. This is a vintage Stadimeter used by the US Navy to measure range onboard ships to other ships or object in the water. It still functions and all the parts move. It has clean mirrors and clean glass. It does have a couple of flaws though such as missing paint and some tarnished brass. All of the legs that support it when it is laid down are straight. The body is hand engraved U.S. Navy N. 186. Includes original naval repair shop inspectors tag. The Stadiometer measures approximately: 10" Long X 3 1/2" Wide X 4 1/2" High Handle is made of wood and it measures 3 3/4" long and 1" thick and 1 7/8" wide The body of the unit is stamped Keuffel & Esser Co. New York
