Good Condition. Some overall drying and stiffening, and moderate overall flattening, making it unable to house a rifle, and suitable for a static display only. A horizontal line of deep bending and surface cracking across the lower front. Some scattered surface cracking to the body and the saddle straps around the upper and lower body. Measures 40 3/4" long overall, making it ideal for a 26" barrel Winchester lever action rifle. Stamped at the upper back with its maker, "KNOX & TANNER CO. / MAKERS / RAWLINGS, WYO.", a saddler in business from only 1900-1917. A wonderful piece of rarely seen frontier gunleather.
